OMG
I just can’t understand why the kings and queens leave their kingdoms and houses so other kings and princes simply take their castles so easily… I mean, c’mon… aren’t they supposed to leave people to defend their properties or something?
I’m seriously mad about this… It’s something I don’t get… The Starks leaving their home and the stupid Greyjoy taking their castle with 10 guys or so, and then Harrenthal taken by Bolton with a bunch of ragged dudes…
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I expect and imagined this world to be more “epic” and even though George RR Martin makes it seem like everything is so amazing and big, in reality the fact that some groups of people take other people’s castles SO EASILY doesn’t seem that *GREAT* to be honest.
Don’t take me wrong, I’m obessed with the books, but this is something I just don’t get and It’s a big weakness in the series, imo.
